Have a great week!
I hope all is well this week. Last week I told you all I took a trip to visit our old employee and buddy, Matthew. He is doing great and working for two different and well-established farms. One of the farms is at a farm community and farm business incubator called the Intervale, outside of Burlington. He works for Digger’s Mirth Farm there. Check it out atwww.intervale.org/ I was really inspired by a community of farms sharing resources such as equipment, refrigeration, and irrigation.
We need you! The 15th Anniversary Event at Gaia Gardens will be lots of fun and a great way to see and engage the farm. The event is on September 15, a Saturday, from 4-8pm at the farm and in the East Lake Commons Community. In attendance will be past Gaia Gardeners including the first farmer, Ryan Cohen, down all the way from Western Massachusetts. The event is free for kids, 16 and under, and will include a farm tour, hay rides, lots of live music including a foot stomping hootenany from our farm friends Sourwood Honey. We will also have food vendors on-site including the amazing Farm Burger, Sandwich Buddha, and Westiside Creamery (ice cream!).We hope you all can join us to celebrate a truly unique and inspiring testimony to local agriculture and community. The event costs for adults are $10 to cover costs.
