I hope all is well this week. We have been a digging sweet potatoes and the crop is splendid.
We are getting Erin, our trusty employee, ready for Terra Madre in Turino, Italy. She leaves tomorrow and will be one of the Georgia delegates for the week long meeting of Slow Food producers, and afterward her and her husband, Daniel, plan to travel for a week to enjoy Italy and visit family in the area. Thanks to funds from Manette Messenger, Bazaar Bizarro, and our Walk Together, Rock Together Dinner with Staplehouse, Erin is leaving with enough funds to cover her flight and some money for travel. Thank you all for your support of her and Slow Food Atlanta. We are really proud of Erin!
Ticket sale information will go out this Friday for our last farm dinner, Wild in the Streets: A Benefit for Community Farmers’ Markets, on Sunday evening, 11/11/12. $70 for general attendees, for cocktail reception and snacks, farm tour with yours truly, and a four course meal seated on the farm. 100% of event proceeds after cost go to benefit our farmers’ market organization, Community Farmers’ Markets.
