Gaia Gardens Benefit Dinner for Community Farmers’ Markets‏

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to announce our final farm dinner for 2012.  We are really excited to get to work with a new group of chefs, some of whom we have a long history with.  Judith and I actually met working at the Brick Store Pub almost 10 years ago and we have been privileged to get to know all of the other chefs during our farming career.  This event will be very special and all proceeds after costs will go to benefit our farmers’ market organization, Community Farmers’ Markets, which manages the East Atlanta Village and Grant Park Farmers’ Markets.  This dinner’s title, “Wild in the Streets,” like our previous dinner with Staplehouse, “Walk Together, Rock Together,” are names of punk rock songs from my youth.  The title reflects the duality of our farm’s existence both in the wild of nature and the context of the city.  It seems additionally appropriate for this dinner because my best friend and punk rock bud from bygone days, Rian Tittle from the Brick Store, will be cooking a course.  Punk rock culture was our initial compass for finding community and meaning.  Judith also works daily with the good folks of H&F Bread Co.

On Sunday, November 11, we return with a Fall-inspired dinner on the farm.  In the past, we had such an amazing talented group of culinarians and this new line-up will not disappoint.  Diners will arrive at the farm at 4pm for passed snacks from guest chefs and a season-inspired treat from mixologist, Miles MacQuarrie.  At 4:30pm, Joe Reynolds will give a farm overview and tour.  At 5pm, our incredible chefs will each serve a crafted course that reflects the soil and season of the farm..  Guest chefs include Rian Tittle of Brick Store Pub, Terry Koval of The Wrecking Bar, and Eric Ottensmeyer of Leon’s Full Service as well as a delectable dessert course from the fantastic H & F Bread Co.  This event is limited, so get your tickets early.  All parking for non-residents will be off-site with details to be provided during ticket purchase.  This event is also on grass and gravel and outside in the elements as the plants experience seasonality and time of day.  Please notify us if you need any special mobility needs.  Also, please do not bring dogs.  Vegetarian accommodations only available upon pre-request.  Please email Joe at joe@loveislovefarm.com.  Sorry, no vegan options will be available, our apologies.  Tickets are $70 for general attendees.  This fee does not include  Brown Paper Ticket processing fee.  Tickets can be purchased at

Event is rain or shine.  100% of proceeds after cost will go to benefit Community Farmers’ Market.  Hope y’all can make it!

Many blessings,
Farmer Joe
